09-14-2024 Ancestral Magic: Reconnection & Learning from the Folk

Join us on a journey of discovery, empowerment, grief, and reconnection to culture, practices, and the ancestral knowledge that we have available to us. In this workshop, led by Frankie Castanea, we will be introduced to our ancestors and reconnection through plant allies, spirit guides, and community, then continue to discuss the worldwide ramifications and importance of accountable reconnection.

In this course, you can expect to:

  • Receive information surrounding how we can connect with our ancestors and reconnect to culture, including a guide to building an ancestor altar.
  • Connection to ancestral guides, like plant allies, Saints, land spirits, and foods, and identifying them.
  • Reconnection to the folk in folk magic: How do we identify the folk? Who are the folk? Where can we find the folk?
  • Understanding the importance of both tradition and reconstruction.

This is Part 1 of a 2-part series 'Ancestral Magic: Diving Deep into Reconnection, Accountability, and Learning from the Folk' led by Frankie Castanea. Check out Part 2 here.
