08-20-2022 - Full Bloom: Kitchen Magic Through the Seasons

To the kitchen witch, food is magic. Join herbalist, nature-lover, and resident kitchen witch Spencre Linnea, the author of Forest + Homeand Blotto Bottany, for this 2-hour workshop, where we'll work with three Summer and Autumn herbs as we overview a handful of Spencre's favorite recipes for invoking healing, magic, and connection to the seasons.

Summer and Autumn are seasons of abundance, resplendent blooms, bountiful harvest, and deep gratitude. The food we create in collaboration with the earth during these seasons is imbued with these potent energies, and when we learn to harness them in our recipes, we can cultivate them in our own material lives.

In this workshop, we will focus on a small selection of herbs to use in your every day kitchen routine in Summer and the emerging Autumn, including nettles, rosehips, calendula. During this workshop, learn how to simplify and amplify your herbal cooking by narrowing down your go-to herbs and what tastes best to you. Learn how to powder your own dried herbs into herbal "flour," and follow along with Spencre as she demonstrates how to make herbal butter and pasta dough.

This workshop is open to kitchen witches of all experience levels!
